MedEvolve Announces eCeno™ 3.3 Commercial Release

MedEvolve is pleased to announce the commercial availability for Release 3.3 of the eCeno practice management suite of applications. New or Enhanced Functionality
Release 3.3 provides the following new functions and features over Release 3.2.

There are sixteen (16) new point-to-point connections allowing practices to transmit electronic claims and retrieve electronic remittances. Our EDI team is committed to connecting our practices with any health plan able to accept HIPAA-compliant claim transactions.

The EDI team has also added functionality to increase the length of comments in Box 19, add the Referral Date to the visit screen, adding Patient Eligibility fields to the patient insurance screen, and add a new UB-92 Additional Diagnosis Request.

Many practices already use the ability to add new, custom data fields to the Account Information screen. Release 3.3 add capabilities to attach drop-down lists and edit masks to those custom fields for improved data entry accuracy and efficiency. (These custom fields can be included in the eCeno Data Mining module for summary reporting and analysis.)

Nearly all practices use Microsoft Word to create custom documents within the eCeno Document Manager. Release 3.3 adds Microsoft Publisher to the Document Manager for those wishing to create more sophisticated or complex patient and marketing documents.

More practices are now separating patients by Financial Location, and Release 3.3 adds functions to separate patient statements and enhance posting controls by Financial Location.

Additional financial entry and reporting enhancements include ability to schedule when demand print templates are processed, enhanced Visit Transaction display format for family billing, security to prevent changing provider and locations in transactions belonging to closed controls, and sorting Aged Receivables report by billing status.

Enhanced HIPAA Security Compliance Assistance
Each of the prior releases since 2.0 has incorporated new or enhanced assistance for complying with the HIPAA Privacy and Security rules. Release 3.3 is no exception, and we expect to continue adding enhancements as medical practices continue to evaluate HIPAA provisions and strengthen privacy and security measures.

• Release 3.3 has new security reporting to help manage the comprehensive access protections limiting user access to eCeno functions and document categories within the electronic patient record.
  
• Release 3.3 will now disable a user’s access after a user-defined number of unsuccessful attempts to log into the eCeno application.
  
• Release 3.3 logs each access to a patient record to assist practices in complying with the HIPAA record access reporting provision.
